San Diego, California, October 9, 2003 - Andrew & Williamson Fresh Produce, formerly known as Andrew & Williamson Sales Co., Inc., a leading grower and shipper of fresh vegetables, today announced the launch of their updated name, new logo and web site. This updating of the Andrew & Williamson brand also marks an expanded role for the company in both growing and distributing fresh fruit and vegetables in key product categories, including vine-ripened tomatoes, roma and grape tomatoes, pole and screen house-grown cucumbers, and strawberries.

"We've been known for our service and quality for over eighteen years," said Mark Munger, Andrew & Williamson Fresh Produce vice president of marketing. "We see our expanded role as an opportunity to provide even better quality and service to our customers by vertically integrating our efforts, from growing through distribution of our products," Munger continued.

To that end, Andrew & Williamson is working closely with plant breeders in developing new and improved fruit and vegetable varieties, and is also taking a more active role in the growing, packing and distribution of their produce. Andrew & Williamson launched their Retail Ready program this summer to deliver their vine ripened roma's directly to their retail customers. "In today's competitive environment, we are committed to two main principles," said Munger, "growing produce that exceeds the demands of the consumer, and pursuing efficiencies in the growing and distribution of our products."

Andrew & Williamson's new website is a customer oriented site designed to provide information on product availability, specific packaging information, and food safety resources and information. The new site will be live October 15, and can be viewed at www.andrew-williamson.com. Our updated website has been designed with our retail and wholesale customers in mind and our hope is that it will be useful resource for all of our customers," said Munger.
